Victory Day in Belarus

Victory Day is celebrated in Belarus today. It is a sacred holiday for Belarus, a tribute of remembrance, profound respect and gratitude to Soviet soldiers, homefront workers, and underground resistance fighters, to all those, who made the victory possible. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko took part in the solemn events arranged on the occasion of Victory Day. The head of state laid a wreath at the Victory Monument in presence of Great Patriotic War veterans, top government officials, heads of government agencies, representatives of youth organizations and children organizations, public associations.
